Writer of Crime and Horror
About Me
I was born in Hyde in 1969 and spent the first ten years of my life in Lancashire, before emigrating to Canada with my family. I returned to England at the age of 18 and now live in Surrey with my guitarist husband and two cats.
I have always been a writer, first and foremost. I can't remember a time when I wasn't making up stories. When I was a child I used to take an array of soft toys and dolls to bed. I would pick one every night to be the main character in the story I used to tell myself before I could fall asleep.
I am the author of two novels that have been published as e-books by Lyrical Press, Inc. DEATH SCENE, the most recent novel, is the first of a series about amateur sleuth Shara Summers. My first novel, SUFFER THE CHILDREN, is a supernatural horror novel. More information about my books, and where to buy them, can be found in the corresponding 'crime' and 'horror' pages.
I've also had several short stories published over the years (see 'Short Stories' page for more details), and an anthology of my stories, entitled SOUL SCREAMS, will be released by Stumar Press in June 2012.
I am founder and Chair Person of the T Party Writers' Group.
For the day job, I work as a Personal Assistant and I run the commuting gauntlet into London every day.
An avid reader, especially of crime and horror fiction, I also review books for Shots e-zine.
I admit to being a geeky girl (or possibly even a girly geek). My hobbies include watching "Buffy" reruns, blasting zombies in "Resident Evil" and travelling. I write a blog about writing, books, commuting and travelling - the things that occupy much of my time - and it can be found here.
