I am pleased to announce that there will be a launch for THE WHISPERING DEATH, to be held at The Brook independent arts bar in Wallington, Surrey on Wednesday 14 October starting at 7pm. Not only will there be a chance to buy a signed copy of the book, but there will be a raffle with lots of very cool prizes, a reading, and free bubbly.
The Brook is an easy 10-minute walk from Wallington station, which is in Zone 5 and on the London Victoria to Epsom Downs line. All are welcome, but I would like to know numbers. If you'd like to attend please could you email me. This anthology of seven SF, fantasy and horror stories is now available in print and e-book formats from Amazon. Former Heroes is a brand new collection of never before published stories from some of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror's brightest voices. It collects a vibrant and eclectic range of stories from Kate Charles (Faisollus), Andrew Goodman (The Oliver Drummond Adventures), Jim King (Far Horizons Magazine), Gaie Sebold (Babylon Steel, Shanghai Sparrow), David Gullen (Shopocalypse), Sara Jayne Townsend (The Shara Summers Series) and Pete Sutton (Far Horizons Magazine). I am very pleased to announce that my horror novel THE WHISPERING DEATH' has sold to British horror small press publisher Kensington Gore.
The book will be published in paperback and e-book formats, and will be released later this year. My page on their website features an interview and biography, and other news will appear soon. I was delighted to be interviewed by writer and editor Jan Edwards on her blog earlier this week. See the interview here.
I was pleased to help author and editor Akaria Gale launch a new series on her blog recently on pro tips for writers. My post is about why a writer needs both praise and criticism. See the post here.
I am making a guest appearance this week, on the blog of horror writer Luke Walker, 'Die Laughing'. I am talking about why I write crime as well as horror. I hope you will check it out.
I'm pleased to announce that I have signed a contract with MuseItUp Publishing for my first horror novel SUFFER THE CHILDREN. So this novel will be re-released under the MIU label, with a brand new cover.
Scheduled release is Spring 2016. My first post of 2015 is on author JQ Rose's blog, as part of her series on writing tips from mystery and romance writers. What have I learned about writing over the years? Find out here.
My story 'Jimi Hendrix Eyes' features in the Exaggerated Press anthology THE DARK HEART OF PEEPING TOM, launched at the British Fantasy Society's open night on 5 December. 'Peeping Tom' was one of the best known small press horror 'zines of the 1990s, and helped launch the career of many British horror writers. If you're in London on Friday, do stop by at the Two Chairmen pub in Trafalgar Square. All are welcome.
